READING CHARTS for KNITTING
Reading patterns and charts can often seem like reading a foreign language! Charts can make some of the most perplexing patterns much easier to read and charts are perfect for repeating patterns!
Take some of the mystery out of reading charts for knitting lace work, color work, patterns and cables registering for this class!
In this class you will learn how to read charts for knitting flat and in the round, understand symbols and special stitches, and how to create your own chart! We will knit two simple projects perfect for Valentine's Day! One is a easy knit and purl heart pattern and the other is a lacy heart pattern. These are very easy projects that most beginning knitters can do! You will also receive a FREE pattern to knit a heart themed washcloth - perfect for gift giving!

Price includes 3 hours of instruction, sample charts for class projects, and a FREE pattern.
- 150 yards of worsted weight yarn in a light solid color. It is recommended that you do not choose white or cream; it is still difficult to see stitches on such colors.
- Recommended yarns include Wooly Worsted, Cotton Aran or Appalachian Baby Organic Cotton. You will receive 10% off these yarns if you choose to purchase for class use.
- US 7 or US 8 circular (16” or 24”) or straight knitting needles
- Stitch markers, yarn needle, scissors
SKILL LEVEL: This class is suitable for all skill levels; beginners must know knit and purl
Class size is limited to 8 participants per class.
