SEAMING & FINISHING for the PERFECT FIT
This has been one of the most requested classes by many many customers!
Seaming/finishing is often a part of completing a favorite knit project! And, when it comes to seaming/finishing, projects often get thrown in the “to do” pile and, well, never get done! Or, you complete your seaming and, gasp, your garment doesn’t fit or your seam is “wonky”.
This class will address your fears and concerns and teach your how to properly seam and finish projects and garments for a flawless fit.
DATE: Saturday, March 10 from 2-5 pm OR Wednesday, March 14 from 5-8 pm
Includes 3 hours of instruction, hands on practice and seaming/finishing literature as well as light refreshments.
CLASS CONTENT: Seaming/finishing side seams and sleeves, shoulders and setting sleeves, seaming/finishing bound off edges, knit edges and combination of edges as well as blocking and pinning. We will use sample squares to practice various types of seaming.
HOMEWORK: Knit two 4x4 squares in garter stitch and two 4x4 squares in stockinette stitch and lightly block; use light colored solid worsted weight yarn ( do not use white, cream, ivory - too light to find the stitches). They may be all of the same color or your can use different colors.

- Worsted weight yarn for seaming in a contrasting color to your knitted squares
- Yarn needle
- Removable stitch markers
- You may also bring in your completed projects/garments that you need to seam/finish.
SKILL LEVEL: This class is suitable for all skill levels from beginner to professional!
